It’s hard to succinctly express just how important your network is. Whether that be your network of friends or network of professionals. It’s equally as important to tend to your network and invest in it.
That’s one of the reasons that this weekend I’m at TwitchCon. This weekend my focus is to to meet up with friends and other creators in the space and to meet new people. As your network expands so do the opportunities that you tend to be presented with. Everything from advice to even job opportunities are things that your network can help you with.
Curating your network doesn’t happen overnight, but it’s well worth it (and fun). In fact, it’s something that you’ll continuously do throughout your career and life. Meeting others who operate in the same space as you is invaluable. It provides helpful insights and learning experiences as well as a consistent source of inspiration to draw from. Having a good network can expedite your learning and even change your career and life trajectory for the better.
The best advice I can give to curate an amazing network is to be kind. Help others without expecting anything in return and be a good human. It sounds simple, but this very simple approach has worked well for me.
In the newsletter world, I’ve really appreciate the network that I’ve developed so far. I’ve been lucky enough to have numerous amazing creators in the space help me get started and provide helpful advice. In no particular order, I highly recommend you check out my friends and their amazing newsletters!
